Interior Renovation
We worked with Todd Webb of Webb Design and Architecture on this project. Our clients had recently purchased a row home and were interested in updating the interior to make it more their own. We ended up touching just about every room in the house including - creating an in law suite in the basement, new custom millwork in the living room, addition of a fireplace, new countertop and addition of cabinetry in the kitchen, installation of French Steel patio doors, updating the primary suite, and creating a library that also doubled as an office with custom cabinetry throughout. We also installed low voltage lighting, automatic shades, and a new Lutron system to create a smart home.
The designer chose this beautiful shade of green for the library. The custom shelves with 1/2” reveals throughout make for a fantastic statement wall - we especially love the contrast of the stained white oak cabinet backer. Not shown in this picture is the new desk with custom cabinetry and a marble desktop.
This artichoke light fixture is one of the first things that catches your eye when you walk into this house. We increased the size of the bulkhead above in order to have it perfectly centered over their dining room table. Although this seemed like a minor design feature, it really helped differentiate the spaces on the 1st floor. Wall panelling was also added by Link Construction’s carpenters.
In the powder room on the first floor we installed a custom floating vanity, waterworks fixtures, new sconces, and tile on the back wall to mimic the irregularity of the original brick party wall.
The living room is anchored by this custom media console. Made out of white oak and stained to have a natural look the designer carried the same 1/2” reveal around the compartments from the library to this piece. The new fireplace has a custom furniture grade brushed brass detail that accentuates the different levels of the marble surround.
